Devan's Take
Everyone we know in life has some purpose. I have learned so many things from the great people in my life. I know so many people that are building and lifting others in this world and it inspires me. If you are reading this it is because we want you in our life. We want builders not destroyers. We want people that finish what they start and do hard things and do not give up. Some day each of us will pass this life and we will stand before our maker. We will be accountable how we treated people, thoughts, and actions of our lives. Some people will not be able to stand the site of God, because their life will filled with corruption and destruction but none the less will be required.
I heard this bit of wisdom once about relationship. You must think about the important relationships with your spouse as a bank account. You must continue to make deposits for when you make a withdrawal you still have plenty of reserves left it will see you through the tough times. Withdrawals should not happen all the time when trying to life with peace. Communication is the greatest tool we have to build others. I encourage all of you to help build others and to continue to make deposits into your relationship bank account.
Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect book for this is called "I Promise" I believe. It's about the promises you make when you get married (pretty much the basic stuff to keep your marriage/relationship happy and healthy well into your senior years) and they mention the bank/emotional account. It's an awesome book! I'll let you know if I got the title wrong and who the author is tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of that book, sounds like a great one. What do you like about it?
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring. I've read some articles about relationship banking and how it help an entrepreneur become successful. Another factor to consider when starting a business is bank loans if you do not have funds yet and you try checking about bank lending criteria that you need to pass: http://businessloans.doobizz.com/bank-loans-2/2011/12/bank-lending-criteria/544/
